Welcome to Wild Child Nappies! I am Laura, a stay-at-home Mum with five beautiful children – twins Dorian & Temperance, Perseffanie, and twins Evadine & Ariadne. I started using MCNs after being given some when my youngest set of twins came home from hospital in January 2019. Knowing how many nappies newborns plus a toddler use, I needed an alternative to the ongoing cost of disposables. These MCNs were so easy to use and have been a massive cost saver.

The nappies are made in Toowoomba, Queensland using top quality fabrics, a great design and a tonne of inspiration. All Wild Child Nappies have been designed from scratch and are an original pattern you will not find elsewhere. The pattern has changed since the first Wild Child nappy of a front snap to the current side snapping nappy. This reflects our commitment to be evolving and always striving for a great fit.

After an overwhelming response to these initial nappies, we made them available to other parents like us, who wanted a good quality product that reflected the wonderful personalities of our most precious children. We are sure that you will love our products as much as we do.

History of Wild Child Nappies

Wild Child Nappies was the brainchild of Michelle Wigg, who designed and developed the original Wild Child patterns from scratch in 2006. Michelle was a WAHM and mother to 4 beautiful children. Wild Child Nappies was created to supply well made, groovy modern cloth nappies. The designs have been created and developed after careful consideration of functionality and what was available in the market. The result is a simple yet effective design that has met extensive testing with fantastic results.

Mandy Kona worked with Michelle for 2 years before taking over the business in 2012. She continued to create amazing nappies for many cloth families.

Then in 2016, Shannon took over the business to merge with her existing nappy business which she had been running since 2014. She loved the patterns and designs so much that she couldn’t say no! And it fit in perfectly with her original creation of the bodysuit extenders which we continue to supply!

The idea of the body suit extender came about after so many parents that were using cloth nappies needed more room in their bodysuits as the manufacturers only accommodate disposable nappies.
